How the price comparison works
Last updated: 13 October 2026
In Shopping, “Where is my list cheapest?” compares your list’s price at several stores. As required by articles L. 111-7 and D. 111-6 of the French Consumer Code, here is how it works.
1. How stores are ranked
From cheapest to most expensive, using only the items on your list that have a price at every store compared, for the quantities on your list. When totals are equal, the store with the most recent prices comes first. Kibo also flags, product by product, those that are cheaper elsewhere than at your store, current deals included.
2. Why a store is listed, or not
A store is compared when Kibo knows at least 3 real prices for your list (read on your online store, noted from your receipts, or recorded in Open Prices). Your own store always is. No store can ask to be added or removed.
3. Our ties with the stores
None: Kibo has no contract and no ownership ties with the stores compared.
4. Who pays Kibo
No store pays Kibo, either to be listed or to rank higher. Kibo lives on its Premium subscription, paid by its users. If that ever changed, it would be written here, and the word “Ad” would appear next to every result concerned.
5. What the total includes
The price of the products, to the nearest pack, for what your list needs. It does not include extra fees: order preparation or pickup, delivery, minimum order.
6. Guarantees
Not applicable: these are food and everyday products.
7. This is not a complete list
The comparison is not exhaustive: it covers the stores for which Kibo knows prices for your list (their number is shown with each comparison), and only products with a known price. A price may differ in your store.
8. Where prices come from, and when they change
Every price shows where it comes from and its date: read on your online store (when you search for a product from Kibo, or when you run “Compare on my stores” with the Kibo extension), noted from your receipts or your shopping, recorded by an Open Prices volunteer (reloaded every day), or estimated by Kibo (its starting price, the same everywhere). A price older than 30 days is marked “old”; after a year, it no longer counts. A deal whose end date has passed does not count.
Prices read on your online stores stay on your device: they are never sent to Kibo’s server or to Open Prices.
